"Faithful to the first guarantee of the Declaration of Independence, we assert the inherent dignity and sanctity of all human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution, and we endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment's protections apply to unborn children. We oppose using public revenues to promote or perform abortion and will not fund organizations which fund it. We support the appointment of judges who respect traditional family values and the sanctity and dignity of human life."

MYTH...I thought the State Party is different than the National on issues and activities?

Click here to read the news report on Resolutions passed by the Oklahoma Democrat Party which goes right along with the national agenda, including "supporting women's reproductive freedom". And, it also reports of  "several conversations [Oklahoma Democrat Party chair Ivan Holmes] had had with President Obama during and after his presidential campaigns...he asked Mr. Holmes to send party activist (sic) to work in the battleground state of Missouri. After the election, President Obama expressed his gratitude.."

As of this posting date, the Democrat Resolutions passed in 2008 are not published publicly on the Oklahoma Democrat Party website. Instead, they have a mission statement dated from 2003 posted.

We encourage you to read  the Oklahoma Republican Party statement of principles. It is published publicly  here.
